Fully automated production line, it produces customized lightened insulated slab floor panels in vacuum moulded polystyrene, expanded with a steam based thermo formation cycle. Self bearing capacity of the slab panel during installation and concrete casting is achieved with two non structural steel lattice reinforcing elements included in the polystyrene. It can use flat or 20° bended lattice, according to thickness required; steel diameter can be 5 or 8 mm, according to project requirements.
The line may be fitted to work with 15% of recycled polystyrene, practically implementing the “Zero scrap plant” concept, with benefits of cost and environmental impact. Thanks to automated servo drive controls, thickness of the panels can vary according to project needs, from a minimum of 14 to a maximum of 30 cm; panel length has no limitations, and initial and final cut angles are automatically programmed and executed by an on line serial cutting machine.
The production line consists of the steel wire reel tables with straightening and cutting units, wire supply control buffer, Z-shaped bending unit, light straightening and welding unit, forwarding and cutting unit, bending feeder and bending machine, extractor, lattice wagons, input conveyors, lattice welding unit (optional), moulding feeder and polystyrene silos, polystyrene expander, vacuum moulding unit with vacuum pump and circuit, cutting unit, output conveyor with label printer and automation system.
The label printer at the end of the line receives data to print from the plant supervisor and control system, thus labelling every single component produced. The control system of the machines receives all data on line from the central plant planning computer to which it is fully integrated. The line control is based on a PLC system to control servo motion drive, inverter, analogical and digital I/O.
